You will be engaged on a significant Federal Government initiative supporting the migration to SharePoint Online. The program operates within a complex and highly governed environment, with a strong focus on security, records management, and compliance.
Your new role
We are seeking two experienced SharePoint Engineers to support a tenant‑to‑tenant migration to SharePoint Online. You will work closely with solution architects, delivery teams, stakeholders, and end users to ensure a successful and compliant migration aligned with business objectives.Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting SharePoint Online tenant‑to‑tenant site migrationsAssessing the existing SharePoint environment and developing migration plans and timelinesDesigning and executing migration strategies, including planning, testing, deployment, and post‑migration activitiesConfiguring SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 settings to ensure optimal performance and integrationImplementing best‑practice governance, security, and compliance controlsMonitoring migration progress, troubleshooting issues, and resolving defectsEnsuring records are accurate, traceable, and audit‑ready, including migration of required metadata and Purview labels (where applicable)Conducting post‑migration reviews to identify improvementsMaintaining best‑practice standards across version control, permissions, naming conventions, metadata and classifications, access models, and retention, archiving, and disposal processes.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience delivering solution and data migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business using migration toolsStrong hands‑on experience developing and executing PowerShell scriptsA solid understanding of document control and governance within the Australian Federal GovernmentKnowledge of records management standards and best practiceExperience implementing metadata standards and permissions modelsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsNV1 security clearance (mandatory)Highly desirable experience includes:
Microsoft Teams administrationDesigning and implementing data classification, sensitivity labelling, and retention policies using Microsoft PurviewExperience with RecordPoint or similar tools within a record' management environmentWhat you'll get in return
