Job Title:
Operations Manager - Hospitality
About the Role:
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a busy live music venue in the heart of Karratha. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing staff, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a small team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
* Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure excellent customer satisfaction
* Oversee bar operations, including ordering stock, managing cash handling, and performing opening/closing procedures
* Assist with planning menus with chefs, organizing functions, and managing purchasing within budget
* Maintain accurate stock and financial records, ensuring health and safety compliance
Benefits:
* 4-day workweek (45 hours), no public holidays
* Sunday to Tuesday off every week
* Minimum 12-month commitment
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar hospitality role
* WA Approved Manager and Food Safety Supervisor certificates (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure, and multitask
* Strong leadership skills to read the room, manage staff and patrons
* Effective time management, communication, and computing skills
* Positive attitude towards customers and staff, with a focus on upholding venue standards
* Punctual, well-presented, and honest
* Minimum 2 years bar experience with cocktail skills
