About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join the finance team at Secom Technical Services in Canberra. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to gain broad, hands-on experience across accounts payable, receivable and general finance administration. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and a high-performing team, supporting day-to-day finance operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. For more information, visit: https://www.secomts.com Key Responsibilities Accounts & Finance Support Process accounts payable invoices and match purchase orders Raise and manage customer invoices (accounts receivable) Monitor outstanding debts and follow up overdue accounts Perform reconciliations (supplier, customer, bank and balance sheet) Data & Administration Maintain accurate financial records and high-volume data entry Investigate discrepancies and resolve payment or account issues Assist with employee expenses and credit card reconciliations Reporting & Support Assist with finance reporting (aged receivables/payables, summaries) Support payroll administration tasks Assist with month-end processes, audits and compliance activities Stakeholder Communication Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams Provide responsive and professional support across the business What You’ll Bring Australian Citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility) 1–2 years’ experience in accounts, finance admin or similar role Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage high volumes of invoices and data Intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (e.g. Xero) Strong organisational and time management skills A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach Why Join Secom?
