Sous Chef Job Opportunity
Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our part-time team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef, formulating culinary dishes while supervising and guiding kitchen and restaurant teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Work alongside, direct, and support kitchen team members to ensure excellence and consistency in customer products.
* Performance Oversight: Oversee performance of kitchen team members upholding a standard of excellence and uniformity in products offered to guests.
* Menu Development: Assist in creating menus along with cost analysis.
* Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and oversee back of house food and labor expenses.
* Quality Control: Implement procedures for elevated presentation, sanitation, service, and product caliber.
* Compliance: Evaluate compliance with health and safety regulations and food standards.
* Staff Recruitment: Recruit, train, and roster all kitchen team members.
* Recipe Refining: Curate and refine recipes to meet discerning preferences, restrictions, and sensitivities.
