Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Design Officer for a -month contract in their Midland WA office.

Contract Term
Contract Term: months. Commencement: 5 January 6. Location: Midland. Hours: Full-time – hours a week. Note: Working hours between 7 am and 5 pm, with flexibility to meet operational needs.
Role Context
The Civil Design Officer reports to the Senior Designer in their stream and is primarily responsible for the coordination and delivery of all detailed design works necessary for delivery of the annual Capital Works Program.
Key Responsibilities
Design smaller but still complex civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, linemarking plans, carparks.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
Apply specialist technical knowledge, particularly in AustRoads design guidelines, Main Roads WA guidelines, and relevant Australian Standards.
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities at each stage of the design process.
Review and check own designs prior to Senior Civil Designer review.
Deliver designs on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and unbiased technical advice, and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
