Achieve Something Great
This role provides hands‐on leadership of Operations Assistants, ensuring daily workflows, patient transport and operational tasks run safely and efficiently across wards, theatres and recovery areas. You'll allocate workloads and breaks, support roster planning, and ensure compliance with infection control, hygiene, dress code and confidentiality standards.
Working closely with the Nurse Manager of Anaesthetics and Clinical Nurse Educator, you'll support staff performance, orientation and training, identify development needs, and escalate issues as required. You'll remain operationally involved, attending daily handovers and supporting clinical teams to deliver safe, high‐quality patient care.
Are You the Right Fit?
* Proven experience supervising or coordinating staff in a healthcare or clinical support setting.
* A strong understanding of infection control, safe work practices and patient confidentiality.
* The ability to manage performance, attendance and workplace issues in collaboration with senior clinical leaders.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to escal issues appropriately and support effective team workflows.
* A proactive approach to identifying training needs and supporting staff development and a willingness to remain hands‐on and operational while leading by example.
Selection Criteria
* Describe your experience working in an operating theatre environment and provide examples of how you have demonstrated leadership to guide and support a team in a fast‐paced service delivery setting.
* Explain how you apply teamwork and communication skills to maintain a safe and efficient operating suite, while working on a rotating roster and supporting both patient care and staff development.
