We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute General Manager – Energy Assets to lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of a portfolio of energy assets based in Brisbane. This is a senior leadership role suited to an executive with strong experience in asset-intensive environments and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and drive performance across a dynamic and evolving business. The General Manager – Energy Assets will provide leadership across operations, asset management, planning, risk, and business improvement initiatives. Working closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and executive leadership, this role will play a key part in ensuring assets are operated safely, efficiently, and in alignment with long-term business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall performance of a portfolio of energy assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and commercially effective operations Provide strategic direction across operations, maintenance, asset management, and business planning Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and performance optimisation across the asset base Oversee budget development, cost control, forecasting, and financial performance of the business unit Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, environmental, safety, and governance requirements Manage risk, asset integrity, and operational priorities in a complex stakeholder environment Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, customers, contractors, joint venture partners, and other external stakeholders Support the development and execution of growth, transition, and capital investment initiatives Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple business functions Foster a professional, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture aligned with organisational values Requirements You are a senior leader with broad general management capability and a strong background in the energy, infrastructure, utilities, or resources sector. You bring sound commercial judgement, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead through change while maintaining a clear focus on safety, performance, and team effectiveness.
