Senior Advisor for Safety and Wellbeing
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals by implementing safety and wellbeing strategies, initiatives, and activities across various programs. You will partner with organisations to strengthen their capabilities and support effective risk management.
As a Senior Advisor, you will engage and support business units to achieve functional outcomes and other organisational programs. You will also oversee health and safety compliance of all work sites, ensuring policies, procedures and systems are in place to manage risks and meet regulatory responsibilities.
* Develop and implement projects supporting critical risk management and continuous improvement in safety and wellbeing
* Lead incident investigations, reporting activities and support workplace risk assessments where required
* Conduct internal safety and wellbeing audits and monitor non-conformance in key areas such as fire inspections and asbestos registers
* Monitor compliance of contractor and third-party health and safety requirements
Key Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or related field
* Demonstrated understanding of current legislative requirements within workplace health safety and environment
* Experience in monitoring a safety management system in geographically dispersed organisations
* Proven experience in building relationships through a partnership approach and supporting a strong safety culture
* Self-motivated, results-orientated individual with experience in similar roles within Human Services organisations or Allied Health Professionals with safety risk management experience
