UGL are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team on an ongoing basis supporting a major onshore & offshore gas project.

This role will see you play a critical role in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Oil & Gas projects.

Commencing: ASAP
Location: Perth WA, or Darwin NT

Duration: 6 months with possible extension to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver detailed project plans, scope, and execution readiness following strict timelines and milestones.
* Compile accurate cost estimations for labour, materials, subcontracts, and equipment.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and progress updates to senior management.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

About you:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
* Minimum of 5 years of Project Engineering experience, within the Oil & Gas industry.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* High level proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Excel including complex data manipulation and analysis.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
