About the Role
HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngster) is a free, two-year, home-based early-childhood learning programme that empowers parents and carers to be their child's first teacher. As Team Leader of the HIPPY programme reporting to the Service Manager, you will coach, supervise and support a small team of tutors. You will oversee day-to-day operations, monitor expenses, undertake development plans for tutors, and develop culturally appropriate resources. You will build and strengthen local relationships with communities, families and other local service providers.

Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Community Services or equivalent qualification in a related field.
Experience working in an early childhood service or system, with strong foundations in early childhood development and/or early intervention programmes for children and families.
Knowledge of and experience working with disadvantaged communities, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Experience leading a team of paid and unpaid staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good computer literacy (Microsoft Word essential).
Strong administrative, organisational and time-management skills.
Experience working in local communities and building local networks and relationships with service providers.
Required Credentials
Valid National Police Clearance.
WA Driver's Licence.
Benefits
Salary $99,****** per annum pro rata + remote locality allowance + 12 % superannuation.
Salary packaging up to $15,900 (corresponding to about $4,000 after tax) and up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses.
