Pharmacy Assistant
We're looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join us in Katherine.
This role is open to experienced assistants (Level 2–3), while also offering great opportunities for entry-level (Level 1) candidates who have the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
About the role
Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a professional and supportive way.
Assist with stock management, merchandising, cleanliness and store presentation.
Support customers with non-prescription health and wellness products and help ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.
Maintain privacy, safety and hygiene standards in all operations.
Be part of a team environment that values care, respect and quality.
Additional responsibilities for Level 2–3 candidates
Use your experience to share product knowledge (Over the Counter, complementary health) and guide newer staff members.
Support team operations and help with supervision or training of junior team members.
Participate in community health programmes or initiatives.
What we're looking for
Essential
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Reliability, punctuality and good attention to detail.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.
Must hold valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa.
Level 1 entry-level candidates must have some retail experience.
Preferred (for Level 2–3)
Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail health environment.
S2 and S3 training.
Certificate III in Community Pharmacy (or can demonstrate equivalent competencies).
Comfortable guiding or mentoring others, and confident with handling stock, merchandising or basic frontline operations.
