Maintenance Officer – Terrace Gardens Aged Care
About the role
To continue the upkeep of our facility and grounds, a full-time chance has become available for an experienced All Rounder, Maintenance Officer to join the team at Terrace Gardens Aged Care facility.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with a gross base salary of $31.81 - $33.22.
This role will involve undertaking a range of generalist handyman duties to keep the facility in excellent condition.
You will also provide support and guidance for external contracts on site to complete works.
The role suits a proactive person who leads by example, with prior experience in a maintenance or handyman environment and the ability to commit to full-time hours.
You will be comfortable working within an Aged Care facility and interacting respectfully with residents.
Skills & experience
To be considered for this role, we are looking for applications with the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience in a trade/building maintenance or handyman role.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Competent in the use of hand/power tools and light machinery.
- Sound understanding of A/C, plumbing, electrical & fire systems.
- Ability to reflect on own performance and seek guidance when required.
