About the Role We are looking for an infrastructure, energy and major projects Associate to join our growing Construction and Major Projects team.
Our team is strategically positioned to advise project participants on the largest and most complex major projects in the country and regionally. Focussing on the infrastructure and energy sectors, our team advises on the preparation and negotiation of EPC, D&C, O&M/FM, PPP, joint venture arrangements, supply contracts, connection agreements and other ancillary construction and services agreements. Our team also provides strategic advice in relation to the early development phases and structuring of projects.
As a key member of the Construction and Major Projects team, you will work closely with the practice group Partners and your colleagues (both in Australia and regionally) on high profile front-end energy and infrastructure projects across sectors including transport, energy, social infrastructure and utilities.
About You We seek a Solicitor with an innovative and commercial approach, who possesses unprecedented legal capability to navigate complex circumstances and who can meet challenging deadlines.
Working with the practice group Partners, you will be encouraged and supported to develop your own relationships and build on your market presence, positioning you well for future career progression.
What you will need
2-4 years of post-admission experience with front-end drafting for construction projects.
An excellent academic record, coupled with a practical, commercial mindset.
First-class attention to detail.
A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our growing team.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and diverse stakeholder audiences.
