Reporting to the Tax Manager, you'll take responsibility for day‐to‐day tax and statutory deliverables while providing guidance and oversight to junior team members. You'll play a hands‐on role in complex work, while also acting as a reviewer, escalation point and trusted business partner across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Overseeing and reviewing corporate tax returns, with hands‐on involvement in complex matters
* Supervising FBT, BAS and PAYG compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Coordinating statutory reporting under IFRS and managing the external audit process
* Managing tax and statutory filings for the New Zealand entity
* Preparing cash flow forecasts and tax reporting packs for head office
* Supporting SOX documentation, controls and compliance requirements
* Acting as the primary contact for ATO queries, audits and reviews
* Partnering closely with finance, commercial and operational teams on projects and initiatives
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to Tax Accountants within the team
About You
You'll bring a strong tax foundation, confidence in reviewing work, and the ability to operate as a 2IC to the Tax Manager.
Ideally, You'll Have
* CA or CPA qualification
* Strong experience in corporate tax and statutory reporting within a large or complex environment
* Proven experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior accountants
* Solid knowledge of IFRS, audit processes and compliance obligations
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
