Working closely with the National Bid Manager, sales team, project managers and engineers, you will translate complex project requirements into winning solutions that balance technical excellence, risk management and profitability. This role blends technical estimating expertise with business development, client engagement and strategic thinking. For more information, visit: https://www.secomts.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWCXByOdu1o Key Responsibilities Review project documentation and client requirements to define scope, risks and opportunities Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates across labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors Prepare high-quality estimates, tenders and bid documentation Collaborate with sales, project teams, suppliers and clients to deliver value-driven solutions Support business development activities, client presentations and bid negotiations Identify market trends, value-engineering opportunities and repeat business pathways Maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the bid and pre-contract phase Continuously improve estimating accuracy, processes and commercial outcomes What You’ll Bring Must be an Australian Citizenship (NV1 Security Clearance eligibility required – Secom will support this) QLD Security Licence (or ability to obtain – Secom will support this) Drivers licence Experience in an allied field (Security, Electrical, Data/Communications, Control systems) Proven experience as an Estimator within electronic security or a related industry Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and alarm systems Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (or equivalent experience) Experience with estimating software Professional certifications in estimating or construction Their TECH Values Guide Trustworthy – Delivering quality work reliably to completion Effective – Solid desire to consistently achieve the best possible outcome Collaborative – True interest in working together to drive improved outcomes Honesty – Always show ethical integrity through your work and behaviour Apply Now: If you’re ready to influence major security projects and grow your career with an industry leader, apply now and become part of Secom QLD.
