CRVCID: 659721We are seeking an experienced Staff Development Nurse for our Aged Care facility, Karlarra House based in South Hedland in the Pilbara.
This is for a Permanent position with Full-Time hours commencing on 02/06/2025.About this role: The primary responsibility of the Staff Development Nurse is to contribute to the attainment of Pilbara Region health goals by ensuring opportunities for the development and assurance of clinical competence of nursing staff through the delivery of high-quality staff development programs and support of nursing staff and students.In conjunction with the Nurse Educator, this position plans, implements and evaluates inter-professional programs addressing the learning needs of nurses and midwives within the Pilbara region including graduate nurses and midwives, to meet the regulatory, quality and safety practice standards within the health service with an overarching focus on consumer centred care.You will identify educational needs, and prepare, conduct, and facilitate training to meet identified needs and ongoing assessment of the knowledge and skills of nursing staff, and will actively be involved in the professional development of all nursing and other staff in relation to the full range of clinical issues, with an emphasis on clinical development and the training elements of clinical risk management.
You will also provide support for new staff, including orientation, coaching and preceptorship.This role reports to Clinical Nurse Manager and works collaboratively with the Regional Nurse Educator and other regional Staff Development Nurses.
