Role Overview:
The Senior Data Analyst provides data analysis and evaluation expertise at a corporate level, as well as high level strategic, evidence-based advice to support the core activities of the Education and Students Portfolio. The Senior Data Analyst shapes insights and reports essential for the university's strategic initiatives. They set KPIs for analytics projects and streamline data collection processes, ensuring prompt, accurate submissions. They also ensure effective administration of surveys, promoting rigorous data quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities.
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
Apply statistical methods and predictive modeling to support decision-making.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong data culture.
Experience working in the higher education sector.
Experience in people management, including management staff performance.
Qualifications:
Data Centric programming Language skills, e.g, R, Python, c, c++, SQL, Julia.
Expertise and experience on contract related matters in the University/ higher education sector or previously worked on that areas.
Advanced Data Extraction, linkage and processing skills.
Advanced Data Analytics and process design skills.
Understanding of data and information policies.
