Join Sunwater as an Operations Manager, where you'll play a vital role in providing leadership and direction to the operations team.
The role will lead and manage the efficient and effective operation of water storage, distribution and treatment assets to meet the expectations of the business, our customers and wider stakeholder group.
Responsibilities
Manage the operations of Sunwater's dams, and other assets, and flood and emergency management activities in the region.
Monitor, manage and report on the distribution systems operational and financial performance and the achievement of agreed customer service standards.
Manage a team that delivers OPEX and routine maintenance programs within agreed timeframes and budgets, to exacting standards and service outcomes.
This includes setting priorities for project implementation and ensuring the scheduled works programs are completed safely.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven track record in managing water storage, treatment and distribution infrastructure, and operations.
Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering or business management-based fields.
Experience in government or consulting to government.
Customer engagement: Develop and lead a customer-focused culture and use knowledge and experience to resolve customer complaints and issues in a manner that promotes a positive customer experience and is in accordance with Sunwater's policies and procedures.
Strategic vision: Ability to design and deliver project, program, portfolio improvement strategies and programs.
Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team.
