*Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role
The General Manager will spearhead the strategic direction and operational execution of the SEAP region, encompassing Japan, S Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader to optimize profitability, expand market share, and cultivate high-performing teams across diverse markets.
*Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
2. Develop and execute a minimum 10-years regional strategy aligned with APAC regional and global objectives.
3. Drive revenue growth and profitability through market penetration, product innovation, and operational efficiency.
4. Identify the opportunities for the plant in Adelaide and forge strategic partnerships.
5. P&L Accountability
6. Oversee regional P&L, budgets, and financial forecasting.
7. Implement cost-control measures without compromising growth or quality.
8. Market Expansion
9. Lead market entry strategies for emerging economies (e.g., Vietnam, Philippines, New Zealand).
10. Tailor value propositions to local consumer behaviors and regulatory landscapes.
11. Team Development
12. Build, mentor, and retain a multicultural leadership team.
13. Foster a performance-driven culture with a focus on talent development and succession planning.
14. Stakeholder Engagement
15. Strengthen relationships with governments, distributors, and key clients.
16. Collaborate with regional/global Engineering, supply chain, product and marketing teams to align regional/global priorities.
17. Compliance & Risk Management
18. Ensure adherence to local regulations (e.g., trade, labor) and global compliance standards.
19. Mitigate risks related to geopolitical shifts, supply chain disruptions, or economic volatility.
20. Innovation & Digital Transformation
21. Champion digital initiatives (e.g., e-commerce, SAP, Sales Force, CRM - driven analytics) to enhance operational agility.
22. Promote sustainable practices in line with ESG goals.

*Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)
* Experience:15+ years in senior leadership roles, including 10+ years managing multi-country P&Ls in SEAP.
* Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of Automotive dynamics in SEAP particularly Australia aftermarket network.
* Education: MBA or equivalent preferred.
* Skills:
*
o Financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis).
*
o Fluency in English + one SEAP language as plus (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Mandarin).
*
o Agility in navigating regulatory complexity and cultural nuances.
