About The Role
We are seeking a Clinical Day Surgery Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the department while providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the efficient operation of the Day Surgery Unit with a proactive, positive, and customer-focused approach.
Support and mentor nursing staff, acting as a role model and resource within the clinical area.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Apply broad clinical knowledge to provide safe, high-quality care across all facets of patient management.
Supervise and guide staff within the unit, fostering a supportive and professional team culture.
Contribute to quality improvement programs in line with organisational and departmental goals.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting, with experience in general medical nursing.
You will also bring:
Relevant nursing qualifications and current registration with AHPRA.
Minimum of five years' post-graduate nursing experience, including at least three years in the relevant specialty.
Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse role (highly desirable).
Ability to manage a designated portfolio and demonstrate strong leadership.
Excellent time management, clinical problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Proven ability to work effectively within a healthcare team and positively influence colleagues.
Relevant postgraduate certificate or similar advanced qualification (desirable).
