As a SUE Manager, you will oversee day-to-day SUE operations to ensure high-quality technical products and services. You will participate in weekly SUE group operations calls, conduct thorough client communication, and develop project scope, budget, and quality control for SUE projects.
This position involves reviewing SUE crew schedules, coordinating with other departments, and supervising field activities to ensure adherence to SUE Manual, SOPs, accuracy, and standards.
You will also coordinate with local municipalities to obtain necessary certifications and permits, provide oversight, and monitor SUE activities to meet performance goals. Additionally, you will recruit, hire, manage, mentor, and retain staff to build a self-sustainable SUE operation.
In this role, you will maintain and develop client relationships, coordinate safety efforts, network with local PLS survey leads, and identify new business opportunities through existing clients and related services such as 3D laser scanning, mobile Lidar mapping, rail surveying, GPS, and conventional surveys.

Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in SUE, with 5+ years supervising SUE crews
* Proficiency in designating all utilities using surface geophysical equipment
* Extensive experience operating and maintaining vacuum excavation trucks
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends, and travel
* Ability to generate revenue through existing client relationships and new business development
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
* Proficiency in English
