Research Opportunities
We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our Surfaces, Materials and Catalysis research group. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, characterisation and evaluation of catalysts for the development of electrocatalysts as part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide.
The Research Fellow will work closely with Professor Karen Wilson and collaborate with other researchers on the project objectives. This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus, but may require occasional work across other campus locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct laboratory and fieldwork that contributes to the research objectives of the ARC Centre of Excellence
* Maintain a strong publication record in high-impact, international, peer-reviewed journals and pursue competitive funding
* Contribute to group research projects as appropriate to research skills
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, along with experience in the design, construction and use of reaction cells for in-situ or operando measurements of liquid or gas phase catalysis using electron microscopy or synchrotron radiation. Experience in computational methods such as DFT, molecular dynamics, or Monte-Carlo simulations is also desirable.
