Job Description

Get Paid to Test Websites and Apps Your lived experience is your expertise. Help organisations make the digital world work for everyone.

Who we are See Me

Please is an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to make digital services genuinely accessible. We connect organisations who want to improve their digital services with the people who experience those services very differently. We're an early-stage startup beginning to scale and we're looking for people who are blind, Deaf or hard of hearing, neurodivergent, older, people with low vision, and people who speak English as a second language who are interested in sharing how they interact with digital experiences and enjoy providing feedback.

This is more of a side hustle than a full-time job but the work is purposeful, well paid, flexible from home and genuinely helps organisations understand how they can make their online experiences more accessible. We've partnered with banks, universities and government departments, testing how their websites, apps, and digital services actually work for real people. Eligibility criteria Firstly, we're not looking for technology experts.

We are looking for people who regularly experience friction when using websites or apps. That friction might be caused by the inaccessibility of the service you're interacting with, because you rely on translation, or because you're not particularly confident using technology. If this sounds like your experience, and you're willing to provide feedback on your personal experience and preferences, please keep reading.

Unlike many other feedback platforms, See Me Please focuses specifically on feedback from people who experience the most friction when using digital services.

Because of this, we have some strict requirements as to who are eligible for these opportunities. We work with organisations who are made of digital designers and software engineers. These teams care deeply about the usability of the experiences they create but their own experience of the digital world doesn't necessarily reflect a holistic representation of the community who use their services.

To onboard to our platform and be considered for the opportunities, you'll need meet one or more of the criteria below:

* Rely on screen readers, magnification, dark mode, keyboard commands or other assistive technologies;
* Be Deaf or Hard of Hearing;
* Be neurodivergent and often experience major barriers and friction with digital interactions;
* Be aged 65 or older; or
* Speak English as a second language (we welcome people with both low and high English proficiency, however English must not be your first language).

No qualifications needed. We're not looking for accessibility experts or tech wizards. We're looking for people who can share their honest experience navigating the internet.

Your lived experience is the expertise. You must be willing to share your feedback which generally includes screen recordings, verbal feedback and written survey responses. This is research participation rather than traditional employment, and we specifically recruit people with diverse lived experiences to help organisations understand how accessible their services really are.

What testers actually do Testing with See Me

Please is simple: If you meet the eligibility criteria above (and demonstrate that in the digital onboarding application process), you're then active on our platform;

* You'll be invited to participate in user testing projects with various different clients of ours.

We'll let you know who the client is and what the project involves. And it's entirely your choice if you'd like to opt in. Most user testing projects can be done from the comfort of your own home at a time that works for you.

* You receive a brief explaining what we need you to test.

We'll generally do this by providing you with various tasks framed as real world scenarios where you're asked to interact with specific websites or apps.

* Most projects will require you to record your screen while you navigate different information and provide verbal feedback and written responses.
* Some projects are completed independently others may be moderated in more of an interview style.
* You share your personal reflections as to what worked well, what was confusing and what could be improved.

That's it. There are no right or wrong answers. Your authentic experience is the whole point.

Everything happens remotely. Test from your couch, your kitchen table, or wherever you're most comfortable. You use your own setup because that's what produces real-world insights.

Some projects will be more of an interview style, others may be done by yourself. Pay We value your feedback so it's only right we demonstrate that in how we pay you.

All participants are paid at least double the minimum wage in their country. If you're in the UK thats a minimum of $55 per hour, but and you can set a higher hourly rate if you'd prefer. And, importantly, you're always paid at least 3 hours pay, even if the project only takes you an hour.

You'll also need to have a registered ABN. Something to keep in mind This is a side hustle, not a full time job.

Testing with See Me

Please is flexible, project-based work. It's meaningful, well-paid, and fits around your life, but it's not guaranteed regular employment. You'll be engaged as an independent contractor and you choose which projects to accept.

Some months there'll be more opportunities than others and there may not be any projects for a few weeks at a time. We're being direct about this because we want you to have realistic expectations. What we can promise is that when work comes your way, it'll be paid fairly, genuinely valued, and contributing to improving digital access for everyone.

Ready to get started? Applications and onboarding happen entirely online. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you'll be onboarded straight away and invited to participate in projects you are deemed suitable for....

no awkward interviews or lengthy processes. We dont accept emailed CVs, please apply at https://seemeplease.com/test-with-us Got a burning question before you apply?
