Telecommunications Team Leader Role Overview
This senior position is responsible for the day-to-day management of telecommunications services, including switchboard operations, PABX/VoIP/Spectralink telephone systems, MIE (Message Integration Engine), and paging services. The role requires leadership and support to switchboard operators, encompassing general telecommunication policies and procedures development, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the integrity of telecommunications services to ensure seamless communication within the organization.
* Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for switchboard operations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
* Provide guidance and support to switchboard operators to enhance their performance and productivity.
* Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential issues related to telecommunications services.
* Contribute to the development of emergency/disaster procedures to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification and/or experience in a supervisor/team leader role.
* Relevant qualification and/or experience with telecommunications technology.
* Demonstrated ability to operate in a busy switchboard environment.
* Ability to carry out and assist in developing emergency/disaster procedures.
* Sound knowledge of computer software packages.
* Demonstrated ability to work a 24-hour rotating roster and undertake on-call responsibilities.
* Current unrestricted NSW driver's license (and willingness to travel as per the demands of the position).
