We are seeking a Building Management Systems (BMS) Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dedicated service team. In this full-time role based in Melbourne, you will manage a dynamic department, ensuring seamless service delivery while focusing on long-term growth.
Leading a growing team of service technicians—supported by a full-time service coordinator handling scheduling, administration, and invoicing—you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the service department. As a key senior leader, you will also contribute to company-wide strategies and future business growth
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Service Department.
Implement business plans and growth strategies for service offerings.
Collaborate with the Sales and Projects teams to foster integrated growth initiatives.
Identify new business opportunities and expand service capabilities.
Prepare quotations and tenders for service contracts, repairs, and small-project works.
Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships, ensuring client retention.
Drive exceptional service standards, meeting client needs and expectations.
Oversee all aspects of department operations, including customer service, resource allocation, and marketing.
What We're Looking For
To excel in this role, you will have:
Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems.
Hands-on experience in building automation and energy management solutions.
Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of team development.
Excellent communication and time management abilities.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
A history of successfully growing a HVAC or BMS service or project division.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving acumen.
A valid disconnect/reconnect electrical license would be advantageous
Australian citizenship or a current Australian work visa.
