About the role
This role contributes to the success of the City by ensuring Hobart's parking systems are reliable, safe, and user-friendly. As a Parking Technician, you'll play a key part in keeping our city moving by maintaining and servicing parking technology across on-street and off-street locations.
Role accountabilities include:
- Maintaining the functionality and reliability of parking equipment to support smooth traffic flow and customer convenience.
- Responding promptly to faults and breakdowns to minimise disruption for the community.
- Supporting innovation in parking technology and contributing ideas for system improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering work that reflects the City's values.
- Providing clear, courteous communication when assisting internal teams and external customers.
About you
You're a practical problem-solver who enjoys working with technology and delivering reliable services for the community. To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- A Certificate III in Electronic Engineering (or similar) and a current driver's licence.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing electronic or mechanical equipment.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers effectively.
- A commitment to safety, flexibility to join an on-call roster, and alignment with the City's values.
