**About the Role**
As the ongoing **Associate Director** (grade 11/12) this position is based in Sydney. This role will:
- lead and inspire a highly professional and collegiate team.
- implement programs and activities that support the growth of exports for the NSW business community.
- advance export development ideas and initiatives into creative and successful programs - including their marketing and evaluation.
- engage with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- connect across functional disciplines throughout the organisation and within outside agencies.
- work closely with internationally based colleagues.
This position is focussed on achieving global results for NSW exporters and encompasses:
- the design and delivery of business support programs.
- curation of insights on market opportunities and global industry trends.
- composing, maintaining and promoting accessible resource tools to NSW businesses.
- specific responsibility for executing the NSW Government's $6.4 million Going Global Export Program.
**About You**
You have a passion for export markets and international trade and thrive off supporting businesses to maximise their operations, creating economic benefit through income and jobs for the citizens of NSW.
You have experience working in export markets or industry export driven initiatives and possess a solid understanding of trade policy issues. You are motivated by engaging with senior stakeholders across industry, local, state and federal agencies, bi-lateral chambers of commerce and private service providers to support the delivery of programs.
You are a results-focused people leader and project manager, capable of bringing out the best in your team and optimising business processes to achieve outcomes. You understand the importance and are a practitioner of good governance within a publicly funded environment.
You are a strategic thinker and have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with tertiary qualifications in business economics, international business or international trade or equivalent relevant experience.
You are accomplished at working effectively across multifunctional disciplines and comfortable operating within complex and sometimes ambiguous environments - all with a positive can-do attitude.
