We are Melbourne's premier tree company, operating one of the most advanced and well-maintained fleets in the industry — and we're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic & Workshop Manager to take ownership of our Kilsyth-based factory and fleet.

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll:
Service & Maintain Our Fleet
* Heavy diesel trucks
* Wood chippers
* Stump grinders
* EWP trucks
* Passenger vehicles & utes
* Trailers and specialist equipment
Race Car Preparation
* Spice things up by doing some prep work on the championship winning Pro-Cut Tree Services Holden Monaro
* Fabrication and engineering repairs/development
On-Site Repairs
* Breakdown response across metro Melbourne
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
* Keep downtime to an absolute minimum
Preventative Maintenance
* Develop and manage service schedules
* Implement systems to prevent costly breakdowns
* Maintain compliance and safety standards
Workshop Management
* Run and organise our Kilsyth workshop
* Manage parts inventory and supplier relationships
* Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop standards
* Contribute to fleet upgrades and improvements
Who We're Looking For
You are:
Qualified Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent experience)
Highly organised and take pride in your workshop
Experienced with hydraulics, trucks & heavy machinery
A proactive problem solver
Comfortable working independently
Able to prioritise and manage time effectively
Committed to safety and quality workmanship
Bonus points if you've worked with arborist equipment or heavy plant.
