QA Build is the construction arm of GemLife, delivering high‑end commercial facilities across Australia's fastest‑growing luxury lifestyle resort communities. We specialise in premium clubhouse and resort infrastructure built to an exceptional standard.
We're now seeking an experienced Commercial Foreman to join our team at Burnett Heads, working closely with the Site Manager to deliver clubhouse and resort facilities including wellness centres, cinemas, bars, pools, and outdoor amenities. This role offers the opportunity to build more than just structures — you'll help create thriving, connected resort communities.
The Foreman sits within a structured site team, reporting to an experienced Site Manager, with long-term continuity across multiple resort stages.
Key responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on program, and to quality standards
* Lead subcontractors and site labour, managing sequencing, productivity, and resource allocation
* Enforce WHS requirements, conduct pre‑starts and toolbox talks, and maintain site safety compliance
* Monitor progress against the construction program and proactively address delays or risks
* Ensure quality workmanship through inspections, defect management, and compliance checks
* Coordinate materials, plant, and deliveries to support efficient site operations
* Maintain clear communication with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and project stakeholders
* Report on daily progress, issues, and upcoming works
What We're Looking For
* 5-10 year's experience in commercial construction with proven foreman or leading hand experience
* A current QBCC Site Supervisor Licence
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programs
* A strong working knowledge of QLD building codes, WHS legislations, and site compliance requirements
