Requirements
About the Role
As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Team to deliver accurate, timely and compliant financial information across the organisation.
You will contribute to key finance processes including month-end activities, statutory reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and P&L reviews.
You'll also collaborate with managers across various divisions, support the annual audit process, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our financial governance.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop your accounting capability within a high-performing and supportive team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist with month-end processing including journals, P&L reviews and reporting
* Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support BAS preparation, lodgement and other statutory returns
* Assist with fixed asset accounting and maintenance
* Provide backup and support across the broader Finance Team
* Liaise with auditors and divisional managers to ensure accurate financial information
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated bookkeeping or accounting support experience
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative
* Experience with Pronto ERP or similar (Desirable)
