Safety Officer / Safety Coordinator - $115k - $130k + Super

Our client is seeking an experienced Safety Officer / Safety Coordinator to support the implementation and ongoing management of their WHS Management System across active construction projects, including large‐scale residential, commercial, and government‐aligned developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and ongoing management of the WHS Management System across active construction projects.
* Conduct site inspections and review/approve SWMS prior to works commencing.
* Monitor subcontractor WHS compliance and manage incident reporting and investigations.
* Ensure corrective actions are tracked and closed.
* Support internal WHS audits and maintain safety documentation and registers.
* Verify trade competencies and licences, assist with inductions and training requirements.
* Provide regular WHS reporting to management.
* Support safety initiatives across subsidiaries Fremantle Plumbing and Hughes Electrical one day per week, depending on active sites and workload.
* Ensure compliance with the Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC) framework on Commonwealth and government projects.
Key Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Safety Officer / Safety Coordinator role within construction environments.
* Strong knowledge of the Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC) framework.
* Experience working in FSC‐accredited or FSC‐aligned projects.
* Excellent organisational, reporting, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across different business units.
