About the Role
At JAX Tyres & Auto, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team in Taree. As a full-time Motor Mechanic, you will play a vital role in servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring our customers drive away with confidence and peace of mind.
What you'll be doing
1. Conducting vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs
2. Performing maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and more
3. Road testing vehicles to ensure quality of repairs
4. Accurately completing service documentation and job cards
5. Communicating with customers to explain issues and proposed solutions
6. Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards
7. Following all safety protocols and company procedures
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
2. Automotive trade qualification and certificates required by NSW
3. Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology
4. Pink Slip Inspection Ticket
5. Current valid Driver's Licence
6. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
8. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
10. A strong focus on safety and compliance with WHS regulations
11. Available to work on Saturdays
