About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and supporting payroll operations across the business. The ideal candidate will have strong Chris21 experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage payroll queries while building strong relationships with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage the preparation and processing of all weekly payroll runs, including calculating pay amendments and allowances Process adjustment pay runs as required Ensure payroll is processed, balanced, and transmitted within required timeframes Calculate and process employee payments via online banking Maintain payroll input functions including new starters, terminations, redundancies, and leave processing Respond to payroll queries and provide advice to internal stakeholders Review weekly payroll and direct payment reports to ensure accuracy Maintain payroll systems and ensure employee records are up to date Contribute to a collaborative payroll team environment and promote a strong customer service and continuous improvement mindset within the department About You Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume environment Exposure to Australian payroll processes and legislative framework at a national level Strong experience using Chris21 (essential) High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy Ability to manage payroll deadlines and multiple priorities Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across the business A team player with a proactive and solutions-focused approach Perks Generous staff discount and access to our sample sales Central office location based on St Kilda Rd, with direct access to the picturesque Fawkner Park Work closely within a high performing and collaborative environment Coffee lover?
