Network Infrastructure Manager
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to join its team in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of secure and robust network connectivity for AFP members across Australia and overseas.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work on a dynamic mixed technology environment, with exposure to various technologies including WAN, LAN, wireless, Data Centre networks, Internet gateway, and DMZ. The successful applicant will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team to achieve business outcomes in accordance with regulatory frameworks and governance instruments.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Sustain, enhance, and manage critical infrastructure in LAN/WAN, cloud, internet, and data communications network environments.
* Diagnose and resolve problems quickly and communicate outcomes with technical users.
* Perform troubleshooting and incident response, identifying root causes and resolving network problems timely.
* Plan and complete routine preventative maintenance and upgrade of network infrastructure.
* Proactive monitoring and analysis to enhance stability and availability of the network.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess significant experience and skill in the design, management, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise networks. You should have contemporary knowledge and expertise relevant to the role, particularly in one or more of the following technologies: Cloud Networking - Azure and AWS, Software Defined Networking - Aruba SD-WAN and VMWare NSX T, Gateway and Data Center Networking, Campus (LAN/WAN) Networking - Routing, Switching, and Wireless, Networking Security - Firewalls and VPNs.
