Opportunity exists for a geological professional to contribute to the success of our mine. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate in geology with relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Mine Geologists and Underground operators to ensure all required headings are mapped and photographed.
* Issue Geological Control Instructions (GCIs).
* Collect rock chip and sludge drilling samples.
* Collect geological information including lithology and structural measurements.
* Deliver samples to on-site assay laboratory.
* Enter data into database on a daily basis.
* Conduct stope inspections.
* Prepare drill core for geological logging by rotating and marking-up.
* Record basic Geotechnical logging data.
* Sample drill core.
* Transfer full core trays between roller racks and storage pallets.
* Clean out and stack used core trays for re-use.
* Operate hand-held X-Ray Fluorescence device.
* Operate forklift if licensed.
