Reporting to the General Manager, this hands‑on role is responsible for coordinating and supporting all aspects of Occupational Health & Safety and employee training across the Bendigo site. You'll work closely with management, supervisors, and team members to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements, and drive continuous improvement in safety and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all OH&S activities on site, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
* Maintain and update safety systems, documentation, and records in line with legislative and company standards.
* Deliver and coordinate workplace training programs (inductions, safety procedures, competency assessments, refresher training, etc.).
* Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate training records.
* Support managers and team leaders in developing safe work procedures and promoting best practice safety behaviours.
* Drive safety communication and engagement across all departments.
* Liaise with external training providers, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.
About You
Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or currently completing).
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly desirable.
OR
Proven experience in an OH&S or training coordination role, ideally within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships across all levels.
Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
Sound computer skills (MS Office, safety management systems).
