The Opportunity
On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an APS6 Team Leader to oversee a team responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and training recent staff to the legal division of the agency. This is a 12 month assignment and can be based in Geelong or Richmond.
The role will involve undertaking end to end induction and onboarding activities, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating calendar management, and troubleshooting a range of issues varying in complexity. The position will require attendance at Branch and Divisional meetings as well as at the fortnightly induction sessions. The team aims to improve the experience of new starters by nurturing their growth and making them feel like a valued member of the team from day one.
The role will oversee a team of APS4 and APS5 team members as well as communicating regularly with other internal and external stakeholders. The role is required to provide leadership, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team within the work area.
Responsibilities include;
Managing all internal and external legal reporting requirements
Maintain legal databases and extract data for reporting
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
Coordinate workforce planning report
Maintain the intranet page and website, ensuring content and communications are current
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;
Previous experience within a similar role
Team leadership experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
