This Part-time / Casual/ Trainee Dental Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Fairy Meadow Family Dental in Fairy Meadow, NSW. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial part in supporting the dentists and providing high-quality patient care within a friendly and professional environment.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by handing instruments, suction devices, and other necessary equipment
* Sterilising instruments and maintaining a clean and organised treatment room
* Greeting patients, taking their medical histories, and preparing them for treatment
* Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit
* Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and ordering supplies
* Staying up-to-date with dental procedures, regulations, and best practices
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar healthcare role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and the dental team
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A genuine interest in dentistry and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting or a willingness to obtain them
