Location: Various farms sites in Western Australia (Albany 6330, Gingin 6503, Mokup 6394, Wannamal 6505, Dandaragan 6507, Woogenellup 6324, Blythwood 6208, Hopeland 6125, Parkfield 6233, Commodine 6311, Boscabel 6395, Bokal 6392, Yillminning 6312)
Tenure: Full-time, Permanent
Comprehensive salary package from $76,515 pa (plus superannuation)
Required Skills and Experience:
* Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT), or similar.
* Minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Position Summary:
On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician who has strong communication and time management skills, self‑motivated and must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
This role will see you completing hands‑on activities to fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain and/or repair equipment and components in line with industry best practice, company standards, policies, and procedures.
The position may also require skills in leading a small team or groups and the ability to train new members of the team.
This is a full‑time position which may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises.
Other required skills:
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
* Knowledge in computer programs/software is an advantage.
