Qualifications & experience
Previous retail management experience in Fast Moving Consumables is preferable.
Forklift licence is preferable.
Tasks & responsibilities
Managing, administering, and supervising all facets of our business to ensure the achievement of maximum sales, profit, and customer satisfaction.
Initiate a high standard of staff relationships and customer service through personal example and good leadership.
Develop an atmosphere of teamwork and enthusiasm that is conducive to job satisfaction.
Ensure the management teams are maintaining and developing skills of staff and motivating employees through personal leadership.
Ensure that all staff uphold good appearance and presentable dress standards (including name badges).
Interview and select all new employees and ensure they are properly inducted into our organization.
Oversee training programs to ensure all staff receive correct and adequate training.
Ensure store staffing is sufficient to ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service.
Ensure gross profit is maintained by ensuring:
* Correct receipt of stock
* Correct charging and invoice handling
* Stock is stored & merchandised promptly and properly on receipt into store
* Price changes are kept up to date and prices entered in computer
Enforce all security and safety policies.
Participate in supervisory capacity over all areas of the business to ensure the management teams are achieving or exceeding sales and gross profit budgets, whilst maintaining wage budgets.
Enforce all regulations and policies to ensure total protection of store investments including cash, stock, and property, and the minimization of waste.
