Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Graduate Geologist, preferably based in Perth, WA, or willing to relocate.
The Graduate Geologist will be involved in a range of geological tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyse geological data and support exploration activities will be an integral part of the role.
The role is roster based, during active drilling / sampling programs, of which the Exploration camp is situated in Wigiemooltha, WA.
Responsibilities
Geological logging and sampling of RC and DD drilling activities.
Coordination and execution of soil sampling campaigns with proper QA/QC sampling procedures.
Collection, handling, and submission of samples for laboratory analysis.
Use of pXRF and LIBS instruments for in-field geochemical analysis.
Designing sampling grids using GIS tools and collecting GPS accurate data.
Updating geological databases and assisting / improving skillsets with Leapfrog 3D modelling.
Supervising contractors during drilling and sampling operations.
Supporting the development of exploration programs and budgets.
Participating in WHS and environmental compliance activities on site.
Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and internal data reviews.
Qualifications / Experience
Experience or knowledge in field work and logging activities.
Skills in geological mapping and geophysics.
Familiarity with drilling methods and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work collaboratively in team environments.
Proficiency in using geological software tools is advantageous.
A degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related discipline.
Prior work experience in exploration (preferred but not required).
Willingness to travel to exploration sites and work in remote locations.
A valid driver's license
Working Visa, eligible to work in Australia / Western Australia.
