Advertising Development Services (ADS) was founded in the 1980’s as an agency that represents a leading and iconic tyre retail brand, Bob Jane T-Marts.
ADS is seeking a hands-on and commercially minded senior Marketing Manager to provide exceptional leadership in the daily operations of our advertising and marketing business. This executive role will take on the custodianship of long-standing client Bob Jane T-Marts’ entire advertising and marketing program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior marketing person with proven experience managing a marketing business end-to-end, with full accountability for people, performance, financials, and client outcomes.

You will report directly to the Owners and Stakeholders of the business taking ownership of the business results, strategy, delivery, and growth.
THE ROLE
As the Marketing Business Leader you will run the full operations of ADS, ensuring business health, profitability and strategic delivery.
This is an extremely hands-on business and your role is crucial to providing regular insights into operational, financial and client performance.
Lead the marketing strategy and oversee all marketing and advertising services for our longstanding client, Bob Jane T-Marts, a nationally recognised and respected iconic retail brand.
Manage business growth by acquiring new clients with a strong business development focus with synergies in the advertising and media sectors ADS currently services.
The role incorporates all aspects of brand, and promotional calendar. Including creative development, brand management, and media advertising.
Oversee the entire marketing funnel including brand awareness, conversion, loyalty and advocacy utilising the full marketing mix.
Manage media planning, buying and placement across traditional channels including TV, radio, print, outdoor and stadium media
Develop and execute integrated campaigns across digital platforms, including web, social media and online advertising
This consultative, strategic role will see you contribute to the business success and be responsible for tracking the financial position of the business, handling all core financials, including P&L, budgets, cash flow and balance sheet.
Track and prepare management reports detailing the performance of all campaigns and marketing metrics.
Build and lead a high-performing internal team, while managing relationships with external agency partners
Develop robust working relationships with the business owners and our customers, Bob Jane T-Marts, it’s franchisees, company store teams, and other retail partners. Our customers are highly engaged, have strong opinions, and are deeply committed to achieving successful outcomes. An ability to back up your opinions with facts and vigorous discussion is critical.
Use data and analytics to monitor campaign performance, refine strategy, and drive improvement. This analysis should lead discussion and drive change.
Negotiate with media, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure value and manage commercial outcomes
ABOUT YOU
A formidable hands-on business-driven marketing leader with a proven track record of running and managing an advertising, marketing or media business.
The ability to build a strong marketing team with proven record of achievement.
Extensive experience in a senior marketing or brand management role within a high volume and fast paced consumer goods retailer is essential.
Deep expertise in traditional media and emerging digital platforms.
Ability to demonstrate emerging advertising and social media communication mediums with working examples you have implemented and the measurable changes they have driven.
Content creation and creativity - bringing new ideas to traditional brands will be core to our expansion through content and story telling.
Artificial Intelligence – experience and an inquisitive mind on its use to drive success in business will be crucial to the role.
Tertiary qualification in marketing, commerce, business or a related field is essential.

Deeply immersed in the ever-evolving digital landscape, with the agility to navigate, adapt, and thrive within web and social media cultures.
Fluent across major platforms—TikTok, Instagram, X, Snapchat, Reddit—leveraging each for maximum engagement, visibility, and impact.
Comfortable and confident in digital spaces, with the ability to effortlessly craft strategies to connect with diverse audiences across all generations.

A high level understanding of strategic financial principles and demonstrated techniques for unlocking value growth.

Exemplary stakeholder engagement skills — with the ability to influence, report, engage, debate and implement plans
Strong negotiating ability, especially in media buying and commercial supplier agreements
Confidence working with franchisees and operational stakeholders across multiple businesses
Ability to manage in a fast paced dynamic environment interfacing with all levels of the organisation including sales, store operations, franchisees and the executive leadership team.
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive outcomes and support team development.
Proven ability to identify, engage, and cultivate lasting relationships with new clients
Robust Commercial Acumen
Experienced ability to understand the insight (consumer and shopper) and assist in building recommendations that align with customer expectations with the ability to insightfully analyse competitor and retailer strategies and activity. This includes logically segmenting the market and customising advertising to sui each segment.
Ability to apply rigour and process to complex business problems.
Ability to quickly understand both internal and external information and apply these to a product and pricing strategy.
Accurate data gathering, ability to transfer data into meaningful reports and business insights
Sales and customer facing experience in a fast-paced consumer goods retail environment highly valued.
