Our Team
As part of the Australia Munition business (AM) at our advanced facilities in Benalla and Mulwala, we produce world‑class propellants, explosives, and munitions for defence and commercial use. Our continual investment in R&D places us at the forefront of the industry.
Your Role
Come join us as an HSE Advisor at our Mulwala site. Your primary purpose is to coach and mentor personnel to proactively foster process, behavioural, and human‑factor safety improvements through continuous improvement of the safety management system.
* Ensure the facility's safety management system complies with state and federal regulations and meets good industrial practice
* Develop, maintain, and continuously improve safety documents, systems, and procedures that prevent or minimise accidental exposures to personnel, visitors, and the environment
* Develop and facilitate audit programmes to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the safety management system
* Evaluate the HSE impacts of existing, new and updated procedures and processes and ensure adequate consideration of HSE in design and continuous improvement
* Prepare compliance reports for regulatory authorities as required
Your Experience
* Diploma‑level certification in HSE with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated HSE experience, or equivalent industry knowledge and experience
* Relevant experience in hazard assessment and control
* Knowledge of State and Federal WHS Legislation
* Experience managing an effective Safety Management System
* Expertise in handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances
* Willingness to continue education and learning in WHS areas
* Knowledge of Safety Management System best practices such as AS4801, SafetyMap, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 is highly desirable
* Experience working with Hazard Registers
