The role
D2AI Labs is seeking a Senior RHEL Systems Engineer for a high-intensity project phase engagement in Sydney. You will lead the deployment and configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.8 across 25 virtual machines (Lab and Production) in a secure telecom network management environment.
This is a hands‐on, delivery-focused role requiring deep RHEL expertise and the ability to work closely with both application and infrastructure teams on-site. The project runs for 6 months with a potential extension into the BAU support phase for the right candidate.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of RHEL/Linux systems engineering in enterprise or telco environments
- Proven hands‐on experience with RHEL 9.x — fresh deployments, OS hardening, tuning
- Strong CIS benchmark knowledge and enterprise Linux security hardening experience
- Experience supporting application integration in multi-team environments
- Proficiency with enterprise tool integration: LDAP/LDAPS, SIEM, PAM/TPAM, SSL certificates
- Experience with Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation (as-built, ATP, runbooks)
- Telco / NMS / network management environment experience — strongly preferred
- Red Head Certified Engineer (RHCE) — strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills — able to engage directly with client technical teams on-site
