Hartwigs Trucks is a family-owned heavy vehicle dealership group with over 100 years of history servicing the Australian transport industry. Established in 1923, Hartwigs is an authorised Western Star, MAN, Detroit Engine and Dennis Eagle truck dealership, selling and servicing these industry-leading truck brands across our Shepparton, VIC and Queanbeyan, NSW locations.
We are currently seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics and/or Advanced Heavy Vehicle Apprentices to join our busy Shepparton workshop.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working on premium American and European truck brands within in the largest and most modern workshop facility in the Goulburn Valley area, supported by ongoing OEM manufacturer training with strong career development pathways.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair heavy vehicles, trucks, engines and drivelines
* Perform servicing and maintenance to manufacturer & safety standards
* Work on diesel engines, fuel systems, under-chassis, transmissions
* Interpret diagnostic data and technical manuals
* Plan and complete work with workshop supervisors
* Participate in paid after-hours breakdown callouts (at overtime penalty rates)

About You
* Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
or an apprentice progressing through their trade
* Experience in diesel engines, heavy vehicles or transport equipment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
* Safety-focused with attention to detail

Desirable Licences (Not Essential)
* HR, HC or MC licence
* VIC and/or NSW Roadworthy Inspector licence
* Automotive A/C licence
* Auto-Electrical qualification
