Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is a leading marine contractor based in Townsville, known for its excellence in the Maritime Industry across Northern Australia and the Pacific Rim. With a team of around 180 professionals, we specialise in Maintenance, Marine, Diving, and Construction, handling projects both on-site and off-site.
As a result of increased project opportunities, Pacific Marine Group (PMG) are currently seeking a motivated and skilled
1st Year Boilermaker Apprentice
to complete work in our workshop whilst also completing training. As part of our team, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of fabrication and boiler making tasks and kick start your future career in the perfect environment.
Please note, this role is set to start in January ****.
What we offer
Location:
Townsville-based role.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm
Variety:
Engage in a diverse range of tasks and projects within our well-equipped, tidy workshop.
Equipment:
Access to quality tools, including On-Gun fume extraction systems.
After:
Continue in ongoing employment after your apprenticeship is completed and gain even more experience and exposure to great projects.
Qualifications
Year 12 education.
Construction Industry White card.
Confined Space Entry Certificate (Or willingness to obtain).
Driver's license (Desirable).
Mechanical aptitude.
A commitment to fulfilling the requirements of your apprenticeship.
Willingness to learn and continue developing.
Safety awareness.
Willingness to work as part of a team.
Sound communication skills and listening skills.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Undertake fabrication and cutting tasks as assigned and commensurate with achieved training level.
Ensure all work undertaken is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with instructions provided.
Actively participate in workshop learning.
Attend to assigned tasks in an enthusiastic manner.
Undertake all external studies to attain the relevant knowledge to achieve competency in trade within required timeframes.
Complete training record book in a neat, concise and timely manner.
Perform semi-skilled / unskilled tasks as required.
Report on all incidents and injuries.
