About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team at our Farnorha Residential Aged Care home in Cairns.
As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Residential Aged Care Home. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
* General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves and designing garden layout
* Maintain lawns, gardens and outdoor areas including, mowing, trimming and watering
* Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required
* Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner

To be successful, you will have
* Experience in general maintenance and groundskeeping (aged care experience preferred)
* Current valid drivers' licence
* Australian work rights
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Flu Vaccination (or willing to obtain)
* Evidence of at least one COVID-19 vaccination
* A pre-employment medical assessment may be required
