Job Description As an Outreach Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to provide respite to carers by taking planned outings with young people. These shifts are likely to take place in the afternoon or on weekends. Additionally, you will support young people in maintaining connections with family, culture, country, and community. You will be responsible for providing opportunities for children and young people to develop and learn life skills appropriate to their age and ability. This includes supporting them in accessing appointments, engaging therapeutically with young people, and developing safety, health, and wellbeing measures. ----------------------------------- Required Skills and Qualifications Certification: A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or equivalent is required. Alternatively, a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or Youth Work, or a Diploma in Behavioural Science, Counselling, Nursing, or Mental Health will also be considered.
