Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our products and services.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing our 3PL and state-based operations, including overseeing compliance, safety, performance improvement, and profitability across the network.
You will lead strategic initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive operational excellence while meeting contract SLA's and delivering superior service outcomes.
Your duties will include:
* Ensuring adherence to all government and regulatory standards
* Upholding company policies, WHS guidelines, and specific requirements
* Leading 3PL and state operations teams
* Managing escalated customer queries, grievances, and staff disciplinary matters
* Driving operational performance and profitability via effective methods and strategies
* Conducting reviews to identify continuous improvement opportunities
* Creating and implementing an operational plan to support strategic business growth
* Partnering with senior management to recruit and retain top talent, coach, and manage staff performance; facilitating appraisals, PIPs, and discipline when necessary
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Sound knowledge of NHVR and CoR regulations
* Demonstrated experience in transport and logistics
* Strong senior-level operational management experience
* Excellent administrative capabilities
* High competency in Food Safety, WHS, and HR practices, including people and budget management
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills
* Proven track record in coaching, staff development, and disciplinary processes
