ROLE
* Develop, plan, and implement engineering projects, including financial evaluation of project alternatives.
* Carry out conceptual and detailed engineering design work for projects, ensuring occupational health and safety regulations, environmental regulations and correct engineering standards are met.
* Formulate on site engineering strategies and plans.
* Maintain engineering systems, including Management of Change, the site drawing register, and drawings, and generate engineering documentation and reports.
* Liaise with and manage external contractors to ensure that engineering and installation work is carried out to acceptable standards.
* Mentor junior team members.
* Ensure a safe system of work, adequately controlling all workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory legislation.
* Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety and health or any other person through any act or omission at work.
* Conduct all activities in a manner that minimises the impact on the environment.
* Take responsibility and precaution to maintain the confidentiality of The Perth Mint information in all forms.
ABOUT YOU
* Extensive demonstrated experience in project management.
* Strong leadership, teamwork and time management skills.
* Strong demonstrated ability to plan, organise and control projects within available resources.
* Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships both internal and external to the organisation.
* An understanding of technical engineering information and principles is required along with the ability to accurately perform engineering calculations and prepare technical drawings.
* Strong written communication and report writing skills.
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
* Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
* Good experience in engineering discipline.
* Good experience in project management.
* Broad range of experience and strong proficiency with computing packages and the Microsoft suite of products.
* Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental regulations.
* Emotional intelligence.
